Yes, Aslan is on the move…God is up to something! God, in the midst of the worst of times, will always have the last word. Be encouraged! How could a country with millions of well qualified people that could lead America to be a nation, under God, with liberty and justice for all choose Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton? When I look at our churches and our teens, I can see the erosion of faith and foundational moral principles. Christians lack the basic understanding of their God and faith, and courage to take a stand, the culture will win every time. We are at war for the hearts and minds of teens and their parents. If you need convincing, take a look at these stats from Barna, McDowell and Summit. The Church is in trouble: Only 2% of self identified Christians know how to defend their faith. Less than half believe that Jesus was sinless, the Bible is true and choosing what is right depends on the situation. The average church size of 75 people, lead 1 person to Jesus per year. Not surprising, teens are no better off than the parents. Only 2-6% of Christian teens live out their faith, the majority do not believe that Jesus is God. They believe that all faiths are the same, that Jesus did not raise from the dead and that the Holy Spirit does not exist. Fall out for this: up to 80-90% will walk away from their faith by the time they graduate from college with FEW returning. THERE IS HOPE.
