No, If you have not trusted Jesus Christ as your Savior, before your death, there is no hope for you.

Have you ever spoken to someone who has heard the plan of salvation and decided that they would put off the decision to follow Christ for a later time? “As soon as I finish college, then I will get serious about God?” Or, “As soon as we have some kids, then we will go to church?”  My response to those people is to “drive safely!”

Salvation is not a game to play with God. Many are not worried about their salvation because they are under the allusion that they are in total control of their lives. Others believe that there is salvation after death. The Bible makes it abundantly clear neither of those statements are an option.

“Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit”— yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes.” James 4: 13,14

“Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring.” Proverbs 27:1

Some believe that we reincarnate when we die. Again, reincarnation is not found in the Bible but is taught in cults and false religions. Through the death and resurrection of Christ, the Christian knows that when they die they will live again with Him in Heaven.

“And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment,” Hebrews 9:27

“Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.” 1 John 5:12

Jesus makes it very clear that there is no crossing over from hell to heaven. “And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, in order that those who would pass from here to you may not be able, and none may cross from there to us.” Luke 16:26

Where we spend eternity is determined on what we believe in our earthly life. We are either with Jesus or separated from Him in eternal torment.

There is a time coming when “at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Even those who opposed Jesus during their life on earth will bow, but their circumstances will not change, they will remain separated from God for eternity. This should motivate all of us to share the gospel with all those whom God puts in our lives.

Choose this day whom you will serve.  Today is the day of salvation!!
