God created us for his pleasure, his glory and for relationship with all those that he made. Adam and Eve sinned against God and broke off the personal relationship that they enjoyed with God in the Garden of Eden. We all have sinned against God since that time.

How does our sin bring God glory and us into a relationship with him?

When we look at the attributes of God, we find that he is all-knowing which includes knowing all past, present and future events.  He is a God of faithfulness, love and trust.

God is outside of time. He sees the past (the fall), the crucifixion of Christ which led to man’s redemption as well as the future when God will live with us in heaven. We cannot see the bigger picture of life as God can. He is infinite and we are finite. God sees life after sin.

God permits the bad to do good for his purpose to be completed. When man sinned, God displayed his mercy for not killing us and also showed his patience, justice and love through his nature and our savior.

In the end, God will be glorified as his children will worship Him for all eternity in heaven.

There was nothing that was going to stop God from reaching his purpose for his creation. Created in HIs image, He gave us the freedom to make choices. Even though we chose to disobey, God’s full glory will be released in Heaven.

This matters to us because the frustrations and sadness in this world, which to us seem to last forever, will pass and there will be hope for all who believe. God is always true to his word. Don’t give up. Persevere through your troubles and lean on your Savior toward the goal that is set before you.

God is making everything new!

Revelations 21:1-4 “Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.  I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.  And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance.  Ephesians. 1:13-14
