If I, as a sinful creature, continually sin, can I ever be righteous?

2 Corinthians 5:21 “God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”

Romans 5:19 “For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.”

Not only are you forgiven, but you are also considered righteous by God’s standard. This is hard to believe. It means that even though we are not perfect and we will still sin, the sins we commit are already forgiven through the shedding of Christ’s blood on the cross, if we are willing to confess our sins to Him (Ephesians 1:7).
