I recommitted my life to Christ, but nothing much has changed. What should I do?

Listen to Nancy's answer live on-air!

Romans 12:1-2  “I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.  Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind…

  •   Take ownership.

  •   Find someone to mentor you in your faith and hold you           accountable.
2 Timothy 2 “The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many   witnesses, entrust these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.”

  • Get into the Scriptures on a regular basis. John 14:15 “If you love me, you will   keep my commandments.”

  • Pray and let God, in His wisdom, direct you. Learn to discern the voice of God from the voice of your sin nature. Jeremiah 33:3 states, “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” He also wants to share with us incredible blessings that we might otherwise have missed had we not reached out to Him through prayer. James 4:8 tells us to “draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.” You have to do your part. Turn away from, repent from, those things, people, or relationships that cause you to walk with the world and not God. It is difficult at first but eternally worth it!

  • Join Bible studies that teach biblical truths and will build godly friendships.

  • Get involved the lives of those who do not think as you do. Build relationships and love them as Christ loves them by investing time and being vulnerable with them. Be patient and prepared to share the gospel with them!
Matthew 28:19 “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age”.

Q- When should we consider re-dedication of our lives? Is it
      really necessary?

Rededication should not occur after every sin. It should be a decision where one chooses to obey Christ and to lead a life of loving God and others regardless of how they are feeling. There is no such thing as a fence sitting Christian. God created all of us with purpose every day of our lives. Choose this day whom you will serve…
