We are so grateful for all of the work that you are doing in helping students grow and thrive in their relationship with Jesus. It is our desire to partner with you by providing resources that will continue to promote the formation of a biblical worldview in each student. Anchorsaway classes can be hosted inside the church but we recommend outside of the church to attract pre-Christians to come and learn. The best classes are the ones in which an entire community becomes involved.
We know that your schedule is often times packed with teaching, planning, activities, and personal counseling with students and parents. That is why we encourage you to have a teacher who relates well to students and to hold classes on a night that does not conflict with youth group or other church activities. Our aim is not to take students away from the commitment to their churches, but to add another solid foundational resource for them in this ever-changing culture. We believe that the Church body, through the work of the Holy Spirit, can stem the tide of 90% of young adults walking away from God and the Christian faith. We believe that Christians must work together if we are to win the battle over the hearts and minds of our youth.
Please look through our web site and take a look at our sample lessons. If you believe that Anchorsaway material could help you in reaching your congregation, we encourage you to have whoever might teach this curriculum become trained to do so. We do have online training as well as all of the needed resources available for those who would like to teach a class. There is also an option to facilitate a class by playing lesson DVDs and leading small group discussion afterward. The curriculum is very versatile and can be used for both student and adult classes.
Send us a quick note if you would like for us to send a sample DVD with two full lessons and a brief Ministry Overview packet to your church office.
Again, thank you for all that you do! Please be sure to email us with any questions, comments and/or prayer concerns.
Here's what one youth pastor had to say about Anchorsaway:
"Most of our students lack the foundation of a Christian worldview, and this lack will make the transition to college much more difficult. As a youth pastor, I can't cover every possible subject a student needs to know, so when it comes to in-depth, apologetic worldview education, I turn to a group I trust - Anchorsaway. Anchorsaway lets me focus on what I can do well, while trusting that they'll do a great job with my students, and yours too."
“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”
