The Anchorsaway curriculum is available in two different syllabi; a Teacher’s Worldview Curriculum and the Facilitator’s Worldview Curriculum. The Teacher’s Worldview Curriculum was created to help Christians who are familiar with the Christian worldview and have the gift of teaching, to effectively communicate the Christian worldview and how to live and convey it to the world. They will study the subject matter of each lesson from their own sources and/or from the recommended reading list in the appendix. Following the large group session, the teacher will divide the students into small groups. The small group leaders will then follow the outline designed for that portion of the lesson. Teachers should watch the DVD lesson for personal preparation or for showing to their class. Most teachers will not hesitate to have the class watch a DVD if the teacher feels inadequate or unable to teach that particular lesson.

The Teacher’s Worldview Curriculum will give all the materials needed to effectively communicate the Christian worldview including:

  • Teacher’s Handbook including 22 chapters
    • Lesson purpose and goals
    • Weekly checklists
    • Opening exercises, lesson introduction, DVD instructions and conclusion
    • Complete teaching notes
    • Suggested review questions
    • Small group discussion guides
    • Recommended reading lists
    • Outstanding comparison charts of different worldviews, religions, cults, Messianic prophecies, creation, and others
    • Outside research position papers from a variety of authors
    • Anchorsaway Resource CD-ROM with movie clips, PowerPoint slides, cued up worldview movie suggestions and several additional aids
  • Full set of actual teaching lessons on DVD taught by Founder, Nancy Fitzgerald, and other Christian communicators who are experts in the topics covered.
  • Anchorsaway Student Worldview Handbook which includes:
    • Twenty-one lesson outlines
    • Weekly devotionals following each lesson
    • Recommended reading lists
    • The same outstanding comparison charts found in the Teacher’s Curriculum

The Facilitator’s Worldview Curriculum is designed for those who have the gift of communication with high school seniors and college students, but who do not feel comfortable teaching the curriculum on their own. This resource will provide them with the means to introduce the lesson, play the movies cued up for them on the Resource CD-ROM, ask the review questions printed at the end of the previous lesson, introduce the Anchor of the Week and begin playing the DVD for that week’s lesson. Following the large group session, the facilitator will divide the students into small groups. The small group leaders will then follow the outline in the Small group Leader’s Worldview Handbook that is specifically designed for each lesson.

The Facilitator’s Worldview Curriculum includes the following:

  • Facilitator’s Handbook including 22 lessons
    • Lesson purpose and goals

Student Worldview Handbook

Each student will need to purchase a Student Worldview Handbook from the teaching leader or administrator. It is written in an outline format, designed for the student to take notes during each lecture. This handbook will not only guide them through each lesson, but also serve as a useful resource for them throughout college and beyond. It was written to insure that each student leaves with the needed information to answer tough questions from those who are searching for God. it will also serve as a great resource for students when leading Bible studies or writing papers. T. M. Moore, a writer, mentor, and a Pastor at Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church in Knoxville, Tennessee, has written brilliantly insightful devotionals to be completed by the students during the week. These are found in the student worldview handbook following the lecture notes.

Small Group Leader Worldview Handbook

Each small group leader will need to purchase a Small Group Leader’s Worldview Handbook. This is identical to the Student Worldview Handbook with the additional Small Group Leader Discussion Guide material.
