If God has a plan for our lives, why wouldn't He plan that everyone ends up being a Christian?

It is His plan and hope that all believe in Him.

2 Peter 3:9 – “He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

The answer to this question is simply, God will not override our free will. With that said, he gave his only Son Jesus Christ to die for our sins so we can receive by faith salvation and enter into a relationship with Him. After being saved by His Grace, we are in the position in Christ to realize and live His plan for our lives. However, even after salvation, He will not override our will, consequently, unless we pray and listen for Him to speak to our hearts, lead us with His promptings, we can miss His divine will for our lives. Also, unrepentant sin will rob us of God's will and His best plan for our lives. God is all gracious and merciful so We can rest assured that God desperately and will always love us and He is always ready to heal and restore us when we come to Him. He will never leave us or forsake us, THAT, is His promise.
